About Us

Brief description

We are central heating specialists which include condensing gas boiler changeovers, full central heating installations, upgrading your existing heating system, gas service and landlord safety certificates...... We plan, supply and install quality bathrooms. We plan, supply and install quality kitchens. We undertake all plumbing work from replacing tap washers to new builds. We also carry out a full range of home improvements which include electrical, building work, extensions, joinery, kitchens, tiling etc all trades are fully qualified and have been working with the company for many years. J Douglas Plumbing & Heating is a small, friendly company located in Fife, the managing director "John Douglas" has been working in the Plumbing and Heating industry for over 21 years now. After serving his apprenticeship he worked with a few different companies before he started his own business in the year 2000, feeling that he could give a friendlier, personal and cost effective option to his clients, he continually attends college to keep his skills updated on all aspects of plumbing, heating and more frequently energy efficient systems, more importantly all of our work is fully guaranteed.

    John has restored our faith in humanity! Having had years of useless plumbers and finding ourselves in a horrible fix we came across John who installed our boiler & fire for us , quickly and professionally .   • 5 Cosy for the winter

    John has managed to give my ancient heating system a new lease of life by sourcing and replacing the fan. It now woks better than ever. His pricing is very considerate and you never feel like you're being ripped-off. When i eventually get round to upgrading my heating, John will be the man for the job. Excellent !!

  • 5 New ensuite and separate bathroom

    We hired John Douglas Plumbing to fit a new ensuite bathroom and were very satisfied with the standard of workmanship. He was punctual, reliable, and conscientious. He also gave us good advice. We were so pleased with the ensuite that we had him back a few months later to modernise our bathroom. The cost of the job was very fair and he did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. We would have no hesitation in recommending him as a first class plumber.

  • 5 New central heating installation - perfect

    Gas boiler was replaced, new radiators installed. new sinks and wc installed in bathrooms and all associated plumbing done. no leaks, no problems, all floorboards and carpets were put back like they had never been touched. would highly recommend this plumber.

  • 5 Regular Servicing/Maintenance and emergency assistance

    We have used J Douglas for a couple of years now to service and maintain the plumbing and heating in all of our properties. He has never let us down. He always gives us the best price and helps us plan changes within our budget. John helped us out immediately when we had a burst back boiler recently. He gave us quality advice and first class service and I hope to always be able to rely on him in the future.

  • 5 New Combi- Boiler

    I had my old gravity-fed bolier replaced with a new Combi-boiler .The whole process of removal and replacement was explained to me and the work was carried out over two days with minimal upheaval.The boiler which John recommended meets the needs for heating and hot water supply for the house.The cost was very competitive.I hope to get John back shortly to fit a new bathroom as I know his standard of work is high.
